Why did the demand for parliamentary reform grow between 1850 and 1867?

Political reform grew between 1850 and the 1860s for many reasons. There was in 1850 slight economical improvement in Britain and this fact removed the threat of a chartist revolt. The forces of urbanisation and industrialisation created a vast social change and emphasised the undemocratic nature of the British political system
