Criticisms of Fukyama's Thesis
Bookmark this page

The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion (to which few members of other civilizations were converted) but rather by its superiority in apply organised violence. Westerns often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do."
The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order, Samuel P.Huntingdon

Fukuyama's thesis was highly contentious. However, it seems foolish to take as valid criticism the assertion that "so-and-so has died; therefore Fukuyama was wrong to state that history has ended." This was not Fukuyama's thesis. Let us look at a variety of criticms levelled at the actual thesis Fukuyama posits.
